Bliss Balls! These little balls are plantbased and packed with the most delicious and healthy ingredients. They are packed with healthy fats, complex carbs, lots of protein and gut healing fiber. One bliss ball will give you all the energy you need for a little pick me up, without the inevitable sugar spike and crash you get from most “healthy” snack and protein bars. They are 100% natural with only wholefood ingredients that taste amazing. With around 125 kcals per ball you have to be careful not to overeat. However, because of the protein and fiber you will feel satisfied after just one! Well or maybe 2….;-)

There are endless variations, you can use all your favorite ingredients. This time I made fig/almond balls and nocho/choco balls, sooooo good! They will take you about an hour to make and you can store them in the fridge for a pretty long time. To be safe I will say 5 day minimum – but I always keep them much longer. It all depends on how much I can resist to not eat them all in one day haha.
Fig & Almond Bliss Balls
This combination is a little less known, because in most “healthy” recipes they will all use dates. But I really love figs! My grandmother always bought fresh figs in summer and she would eat dried figs with her breakfast yogurt every day. They are super healthy especially also for your gut health because they stimulate healthy bowl movements. Combined with also super healthy flaxseeds and hempseeds these balls are absolute little healthy energy bombs!

Nocho & Choco Bliss Balls
Confession: I so so love chocolate! I eat 85% dark chocolate every single day, yes also when I am on a “diet” (i.e. cutting season) because cacao is very good for you and has amazing health benefits. When combined with delicious hazelnuts these balls taste like Nutella, but made healthy of course! Here I used dates for sweetener and I added some chocolate peanut butter. Yes that is a thing! And my advice: never ever buy it! Because it is sooooooo delicious and addicting I could just eat the entire jar with a spoon in a day probably. That is why I am never allowed to buy this. I know myself too well, I am very good at making healthy choices, but those choices need to be made in the supermarket because when it is in my cupboard it gets eat, immediately!
Making Bliss Balls
Here are a few more tips from me when making these bliss balls:
- Do not add too much extra coconut oil. When you are processing all the ingredients and you have added the coconut oil the mixture might appear a bit dry. But do NOT be tempted to add more coconut oil. When you start rolling the balls with your hands you will see that they have enough coconut oil and they are not dry at all.
- I always measure the “dough” (see the recipe) so I get 10 bliss balls all of the same size, I just use my kitchen scales for this.
- It might seem a bit tricky to roll the balls. Sometimes the “dough” will crumble and fall apart. When this happened knead the dough in your hands and press firmly together. Then carefully roll a ball and place in the fridge.
